Here's what comes up for me at the moment: Log: Log file open, 01/08/16 00:21:28 Is there anything i should look for on the server logs to verify that the connection to the steam workshop is the culprit? Oh wow, this is interesting! Sorry, I didn't see your messages since i was port-forwarding and restarting router/server to see if it'd help. I can't tell you how grateful i am for your input. Thanks to everybody that actually posted and sent PMs giving advice. Disabling this adapter made them see the server on the browser (just search view network connections and disable the adapter). I realized the machines that weren't showing anything on the browser were the ones that had virtualbox, which installs its own network adapter. At this point i realized that there was a problem on the client's side. Just to be thorough, i decided to test on some other machines on my network.and they could see the server just fine. Any other problems are most likely either a network configuration or something else on the client's side.Īfter finishing both downloads, I was still not getting anything on my main rig client. Up to this step your server should be working. Set steamcmd on a new directory and downloaded killing floor 2 again. I went back into the server and deleted both steamcmd and killing floor 2 server files. I'll post everything i've done so far in case someone actually runs into other problems related to this. I finally got things to work and it turns out i'm just an idiot (lol).
Killing floor 2 server not showing up update#
I've posted on the tripwire forums to see if there's anything else i might be missing here.thanks anyway guys, i'll update when/if i get any leads. I have also disabled my firewall temporarily to see if that was the issue but it's still not visible. I have validated my server files ( "app_update 232130 validate" ).
Killing floor 2 server not showing up install#
I've done a clean install of steamcmd and downloaded the server overnight, it's still not showing up.
Killing floor 2 server not showing up download#
If i can't get anything else to work i'll just bite the bullet and download everything once more, but if anybody can help it'd be great :D
Killing floor 2 server not showing up Pc#
PC acting as server is running on windows 8 (i can ping to it and i can actually connect to the server using console commands as stated previously) I'm running the game on a separate machine in my network. I have updated the game and when i run "app_update 232130" it calls out saying that the app is up to date. The only thing i haven't tried is to validate the files and that's due to the fact that a 7gb file would take a REALLY long time with my current connection (I'm on a 2Mb/s connection so downloading 7gb+ worth of stuff would take a really long time and hog all the bandwidth in my household). is there any way to assign that manually through either the server console or through any other configuration? i've browsed through the wiki and i haven't seen anything related to it. The only thing that stands out to me from the logs is DevLobby: LobbyJoinGame ServerIP=Īpparently the server's IP isn't assigned to the ServerIP variable in LobbyJoinGame. I'm trying to host a killing floor 2 server for a lan party and the issue i'm having is that the server isn't listed on the lan tab (i can't see it on any other tab but that's due to the fact that i haven't port-forward the required ports), i can connect to it just fine through the console (open ) but it refuses to show up on the server browser.
